Mike Cavaretta is a partner at MORSE, where he heads up the firm’s Licensing & Strategic Alliances Practice Group. Mike has 20+ years of experience structuring and negotiating complex strategic alliances – including IP licenses, commercial transactions, collaborative research & development agreements, etc. – for a variety of industries – including pharma, med device, digital health, and other life sciences industries. Mike also has in-house counsel and business development experience at both a large public company and a startup, which gives him a practical, results-oriented perspective that is rare among lawyers. (Among other things, Mike was responsible for all strategic alliances for the company that Kevin O’Leary, “Mr. Wonderful” of Shark Tank fame, built and sold for over $4 billion.)

Dawn Darnell, CPA, is a partner of Katz Nannis + Solomon and a key member of the firm’s assurance practice. Dawn spends the majority of her time working with venture backed, privately held companies in the life sciences and technology space. She specializes in complex debt and equity transactions, licensing agreements, merger and acquisition accounting and implementation, revenue recognition and share based compensation. In addition to her extensive public accounting experience, Dawn has held key financial roles in private industry for over ten years. Dawn’s private industry experience combined with her technical expertise lend to her ability to partner with clients, recognize issues and identify practical business solutions.

Paola has over 23 years of life sciences experience across a wide breadth of areas including clinical, medical affairs, safety, quality systems, and organizational excellence. Paola’s expertise spans early product development thru commercialization and pharma, biotech, and medical device. Paola has led several large-scale organizational transformations for organizations advancing their strategic commercial business objectives.
Prior to joining Halloran, Paola held senior leadership positions at Boston Scientific Corporation, where she provided strategic direction on global cross-functional clinical transformations and systems implementations across multiple divisions and therapeutic areas. Paola was also former senior director of Safety Systems and Process Innovation and Director of Global Medical Safety Office. Paola held several academic clinical research positions at Boston Children’s Hospital, Mass General Hospital, and the National Cancer Institute.

Danielle Silva

Danielle Silva is Assistant Vice President at Capital Advisors Group (CAG). CAG is an institutional investment advisor that helps companies manage their corporate cash. Additionally, the firm assists companies in raising debt funding. Danielle focuses on business development in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic regions for life science and tech companies. Prior to CAG, Danielle led life science business development for SVB Analytics, which was the buyside advisory and valuations group at SVB. Danielle was also one of the founders of Life Science Nation, a company that helps early-stage life science companies raise capital. Danielle began her career at Brighton House Associates where she raised capital for alternative investment funds such as venture capital, private equity, and hedge funds. She graduated with a BA from Syracuse University in Economics and Policy Studies and is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honor Society.

Eric Solem

Eric Solem is a Managing Principal and President of the Boston office of Lee & Associates. He also leads the national Life Sciences and Lab Practice Group for Lee & Associates. Eric is an experienced tenant representation and corporate real estate advisory services professional with over two decades of experience as a trusted advisor for business strategy and operational improvement for corporate clients. Eric grew up in California, Utah and Colorado. After graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Eric completed pilot training and instructor pilot training as a distinguished graduate flying jets in the United States Air Force as an instructor pilot. Eric moved to Boston in 1994 to attend graduate school, and now lives in Chestnut Hill, MA, where he currently resides with his wife and family. Eric enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, being outdoors, playing golf and exercising.
Eric is a founding member of Lee & Associates Boston, launching the Boston office in the Spring of 2020. Over a 15-year tenure as a co-founding principal of Landmark Real Estate Advisors and senior associate for Trammell Crow Company, Eric brokered over a thousand commercial real estate transactions. His focus has been Tenant representation and corporate real estate advisory services ranging from office, industrial, retail to research & development for biopharma, clean energy, electronic and robotics lab assignments.

Missy Fulton

Missy holds a BA, summa cum laude, in Communications/Marketing from Suffolk University and her JD from Suffolk University Law School in Boston. John Frey

John Frey is a Senior Managing Director in the Foreign Exchange Division at First Republic Bank. As a currency advisor, John is responsible for providing risk management solutions to alternative asset firms, life science, biotech, corporate clients and high net worth individuals throughout the banks footprint. John also co-leads the Life Sciences corporate banking practice in Boston. John joined First Republic Bank in 2011.
Prior to joining First Republic Bank, Mr. Frey worked at Morgan Stanley as a client service associate, where he managed business development and day-to-day client needs.
Mr. Frey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration & Small Business Management from Southern New Hampshire University.
